Julie Ryan LLB (Hons) B.Com, is a senior executive with international experience managing multi-functional teams across legal, reputation, sustainability and strategic communications. Her industry specialties include wine, liquor retail, wagering and FMCG.

Julie thrives on complex challenges and her mission is to create relationships, not transactions. Whether ad hoc advice, long term projects or specific transactions, Julie will support your decision making with commercial, innovative and solutions focused advice.

Prior to starting her own consultancy, some of Julie's prior roles included General Counsel and Company Secretary for the global wine company Accolade Wines, Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability for the ASX listed Endeavour Group, CEO of Retail Drinks Australia and Senior Associate in the M&A and Corporate practice of Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

• Change Management: Domestic and international experience managing complex change in both large and small organisations, including cost out restructures, outsourcing, acquisition integrations and divestments.
• Mergers & Acquisitions: 20 years private practice and in house legal experience managing domestic and international mergers and acquisitions - from transaction stage through to business integration - including management of due diligence and external counsel, negotiation of transaction documents, obtaining regulatory approvals, and post-completion integration.
• Global and Commercial Context: Development and management of global teams including legal services, compliance program development and management, government and external affairs, human resources, communication (internal and external) and risk management (including insurance). 
• Governance and Boards: Experienced director of both commercial and NFP organisations, including company secretarial responsibility for private and public unlisted companies.
• Regulatory: Managing investigations and inquiries from domestic and international regulators on issues of environmental contamination, competition law and liquor licensing and regulation.
• Corporate Affairs, Sustainability and Stakeholder Management: Proven leadership of internal corporate affairs functions in both ASX listed and global unlisted companies, including development of sustainability strategies, corporate affairs and communications plans and successful crisis management.
